WELL-E : Research and Innovation chair in Animal Welfare and Artificial Intelligence

WELL-E, the first-of-its-kind research chair in animal welfare and artificial intelligence, will carry out cutting-edge innovations from computer sciences to improve the welfare and longevity of dairy cattle in Canada.

The five-year initiative is funded by NSERC Alliance and Prompt and supported by McGill University, Université du Québec à Montréal (UQÀM) as well as by Novalait, Dairy Farmers of Canada (DFC), Dairy Farmers of Ontario (DFO), Les Producteurs de lait du Québec (PLQ) et Lactanet
